With Cat Appreciation Month ready to launch in February, the makers of Fresh Step kitty litter have teamed up with country singer Kellie Pickler in a fun cat-centric Facebook contest.
The contest calls for entrants to submit a photo of their feline in their favorite clothing. For those participants who might not have a sweater for their cat, Pickler has teamed with fashion guru Geren Ford and designed a limited edition cat sweater. This sweater will be available for purchase at the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals online store, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting the ASPCA.
For cat lovers not wanting to dress their feline in a sweater, The Fresh Step Facebook page allows for digital entries. The online application features Pickler’s designer sweater where cat owners can digitally place the sweater onto a photo of their cat. For every photo posted, the Fresh Step litter team plans to donate $1 to the ASPCA through March 12, 2012, up to a total of $100,000.
Four digital sweater options will be available for cat lovers to have fun with online at the Fresh Step’s Facebook page. All elements can be resized, is user friendly, and once finished, the ability to share with friends and family is available free of charge. When cat photos are submitted and users “try on” the digital sweaters, this in turn, will activate the $1 donation to the ASPCA.
