Hartville Group, Inc., with its subsidiary Petsmarketing Insurance Agency, has announced its coverage in the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance program. The new plans will include 90 percent reimbursement on all eligible veterinary costs, treats for conditions that are both congenital and/or hereditary, and higher per-incident limits, along with other benefits.
During the 2012 North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC) held recently in Orlando, Florida, the new plans were unveiled. Plans will be rolled out nationally, though in some states they are not yet available pending Department of Insurance approval.
Hartville CEO Dennis Rushovich, shared, “As one of the oldest and largest pet insurance providers in the US, we're in a unique position to help pet parents and veterinarians alike give pets the best care possible. We used our extensive claims history of nearly a million claims to help us design plans that will give customers the right amount of coverage at a cost that's still as affordable as possible.”
Hartsville will be providing ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, which is a program geared at helping pet parents care for their pets and uphold the ASPCA’s standard for humane animal treatment. The ASPCA Pet Health Insurance will continue to have four levels of coverage to enable choices for pet parents. Premiums begin at around $11 per month.
Clients are able to visit any licensed vet in the United States or Canada, including emergency clinics and specialists, under the plan. Pets over eight weeks of age are eligible for accident coverage. According to the company, a pet’s coverage will not be canceled due to age or health and premiums will not increased based on the claim history.
