The annual Canine Carnival in Chesterfield Va. will be held Saturday Oct. 29. The Chesterfield Employee’s Association (CEA) is now seeking pet-related product vendors for the event. The event will benefit the CEA’s efforts to provide events for employees. The CEA will also make a donation to the Chesterfield Animal Shelter.
“Our ultimate goal is to have a fundraiser that’s open to the whole community and will raise enough money so we can continue to provide these activities for employees,” said Doris Kron, CEA member.
The Chesterfield County Animal Shelter, the Chesterfield County Humane Society, the Richmond Animal League and other local animal-rescue groups will provide animals for adoption.
Events activities include look-a-like contests, Halloween costume contests and dog adoptions. There will be food and food as well. There were 1,300 attendees and 500 dogs at last year’s Canine Carnival. Admission for dogs and children 12 years of age or younger is free. Admission for adults will be $5.
For more information about the event and becoming a donor please visit, Chesterfield County’s website or call (804) 768-7550.
