Purina and Kroger Donate to Pet Shelters for Animal Tales Campaign
The Nestle Purina PetCare Company and The Kroger Company awarded close to $156,000 to 17 different animal welfare organizations across the United Station as part of its fourth annual “Tales for the Pet Lover’s Heart” campaign.
As part of the campaign, pet lovers were encouraged to share their tales of love for their animals, with $1 donated to animal welfare organizations for every tale submitted. One winner received $50,000 donated to a pet charity in his or her honor along with a year’s worth of groceries.
Each animal welfare group received a $5,883 donation plus an additional $1 donation for every pet tale shared online during the campaign. The Tales for the Pet Lover’s Heart website is sponsored by Nestle Purina and Kroger and includes information about Purina’s and Kroger’s donation, in-store promotions, and activities for and with pets.
Nestle Purina PetCare is located in St.Louis, Missouri, where Ralston Purina was founded over 100 years ago. Nestle Purina PetCare is part of Nestle S.A., which is Swiss-based and the world’s largest pet food company.
