Robert Pregulman received the first sign he was a dog lover growing up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He would carry dog biscuits in his pocket so he could lure neighborhood dogs to his house. Though his family had dogs, Pregulman always wanted more.
Pregulman is the founder and blogger behind Seattle DogSpot. He lives in Seattle (with his wife, two dogs, and two cats), which he says is a fantastic place for dog lovers. He has access to 11 off-leash dog parks, with two more slated to open in 2012. With a reported 41 percent of Seattle singles owning at least one dog, Pregulman says Seattle has 50,000 more dogs than kids.
One thing Seattle did not have was a locally focused website for dog owners. His goal in starting Seattle DogSpot last November was to create a website that will be the most comprehensive resource and online community for all things dog in and around Seattle, the writer reports.
The website is a totally new venture for Pregulman. After graduating college, he worked for his family’s steel distribution business for seven years. The blogger then spent over a decade working for an environmental advocacy organization. Most recently he was a partner in company that produced environmentally sustainable home furnishings.
He started Seattle DogSpot strictly as blog so he could gain experience writing about dogs in the Seattle area and learn more about the dog community.
At the same time, Pregulman has been working with a web design shop in Seattle to develop the most comprehensive resource and online community in one place for dog owners, dog service providers, pet stores, animal shelters, veterinarians, and anyone else looking for all Seattle area dog information. The expanded site is expected to be up and running in January 2012.

You sound like many of us dog lovers and happy to be able to know you even though Seattle is not around the corner I think loving animals (since very young) just ruined my life. I have never lerned to be practical. I keep saying, "okay Mary, shelters are necessary" "dogs will be abused" or "not everyone loves animals as we do" and so on. Will I ever be "normal? Will I ever be normal. Thanks forlistening. Talk soon. Mary J.
