Cesar Canine Cuisine Partners with Pandora for Holiday Music Station
Pet food company Cesar Canine Cuisine is partnering with Pandora online radio station in an effort to present a branded radio station for people to listen in with their pets.
The station will be available through January 1, 2012, and features songs that exemplify the Cesar brand of products. A dozen of the songs were featured in television commercials for the company, featuring tracks from artists including Jewel, Jason Mraz, and Train.
Pandora’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Solutions Heidi Browning shared that this is the first QR-code promotion Pandora has conducted. The timing of the promotion to coincide with the holidays is not a coincidental one, Tierney Monaco, director, Cesar Brand, revealed. “We thought a playlist of songs to enjoy with loved ones would be an exciting way to give back to our supportive consumers,” Monaco stated.
Pet parents can access the radio station by logging on to www.pandora.com/cesar or from QR code signage at over 14,000 major retailers through January 1, 2012. Cesar Canine Cuisine, owned by MARS Petcare, is hoping consumers will enjoy the songs with their pets.
Pandora, which translates to “all gifted” in Greek, launched in 2000 with the Music Genome Project. Considered to be one of the most comprehensive analyses of music ever undertaken, it was founded by musicians and music lovers.
Cesar Canine Cuisine is designed to feed and embrace the lifestyle of small dogs, according to the Cesar website. Featuring original pate, gourmet filets, Cesar Sunrise, Cesar Bistro, and treats, the company is owned by MARS Petcare Brands.
