Imperial Cat, manufacturer of quality, eco-friendly and natural cat products of over 25 years, recently introduced a new line of shapes and themes dubbed “Scratch ‘n Shapes.”
Made in the United States from 100 percent post consumer recycled materials, Scratch ‘n Shapes are also 100 percent recyclable. Made of corrugated cardboard that is designed to imitate natural tree bark, the honeycomb texture is made for cats to instinctively sink their claws into the products instead of holiday decorations. Each Scratch ‘n Shapes scratcher comes with a bag of certified organic catnip.
“Our line of Scratch 'n Shapes are designed for pet parents who love the holidays as much as their feline. Traditional holiday decorations are often mistaken as new toys by household pets, but our themed Scratch 'n Shapes will keep kitty busy while adding to your seasonal décor,” said Kristie Hamilton, Imperial Cat's Director of Sales.
Imperial Cat is located in Arkansas, with the company getting its start in 1986 with a product called the Scratching Pad. Bill and Gale Seliskar developed the product after they realized their cats loved to scratch cardboard samples Bill brought home from the business he owned at the time: a corrugated box company.
Scratch ‘n Shapes are designed for cats to mark their territory, make it easier to train a cat not to scratch owner home furnishings, and keep their muscles toned and hunting instincts sharp. With over 80 shapes from which to choose, Scratch ‘n Shape products are manufactured to cradle cats as they sleep because of their sculpted curve design. Some of the holiday prints include snowflakes and trees along with red and green seasonal designs.
