The Winn Feline Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1968 that supports studies to improve cat health, recently hired Maureen Walsh as their CEO. Walsh will focus on brand awareness building and expanding the foundation’s outreach efforts to veterinary professionals, researchers, and fanciers.
Walsh previously served as Chief Marketing Officer for the Institute of Management Accountants in Montvale, New Jersey, and now takes the role as CEO for Winn Feline.
“Cat lovers everywhere need to know about the important feline medical research that Winn supports every day and the difference donations make to the health and well-being of our feline friends,” Walsh said.
Winn Feline Foundation has funded more that $3 million in research at more than 30 partner institutions worldwide. The Foundation was named in honor of the Cat Fancier’s Association’s longtime attorney and advisor, Robert H. Winn. The Cat Fanciers Association continues to be involved in Winn Feline and provides office, publication, and meeting support.
The association has funded over $3 million dollars to date in health research for cats with more than 30 partner institutions involved.
In September, Winn Feline became part of the Cat Health Network. The Cat Health Network is the first initiative launched under the broader Animal Health Network, which was founded to bring together like-minded groups to facilitate greater research in a collaborative effort.
