Bottled Ocean Received Contract for Fish Tank Project
Greg Lund and Baron (“Bear”) Kozy, owners of Bottled Ocean, an Orlando-based aquatic management solutions company, have been awarded a contract from Skanska USA Building Inc., to design and install a 1,500-gallon fish tank for Nemours Children’s Hospital at Lake Nona, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2012.
Bottled Ocean designs, custom builds, installs and maintains aquariums and waterways, managing over 400,000 gallons of saltwater and freshwater every day. They have sold aquariums since 1996 and are an aquatic management and consulting company to many Fortune 500 companies.
"As a small business owner, I am very excited to see the growth opportunities that are arising from the development of Medical City,” said Bottled Ocean President Greg Lund. “The economic benefits for small business are happening right now, which couldn't have come at a better time.”
Nemours Children’s Hospital will be home to the 1,500-gallon fish tank. The tank will host a variety of corals and marine life and estimated weight is 14,000 pounds, stretching 16 feet long, and will be 10 feet tall. The tank is designed to hold 40 to 60 large fish and will feature energy efficient equipment. Bottled Ocean currently manages the world’s largest known Euryhaline exhibit at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida.
Opening in 2012, Nemours Children’s Hospital will provide children’s health care, prevention and research for the central Florida area. The 95-bed hospital will be part of a 60-acre fully integrated health campus within Lake Nona’s 600-acre Medical City.
