Radio Systems, the parent company to PetSafe, makers of Invisible Fence brand of wireless fencing, has announced the release of Lickety Stik lickable dog treat. Touted as compact, pocket-friendly, and one calorie in every “lick,” the product is released in time for holiday gift giving.
Lickety Stik treats are available in three flavors: chicken, liver, and bacon. Intended to provide dogs with the same flavor and satisfaction as a moist and/or baked treat, Lickety Stik are marketed as having no sticky mess of other treats. A liquid treat, each bottle dispenses over 500 licks to dogs as they lick the roller ball top. Retailing for $7.99 for one bottle or $21.99 for a three pack, Lickety Stik was put through the same product development process as other items from PetSafe.
The company conducts a series of in-home tests with actual home and pet owners testing every product in real-world conditions. They also get consultations from trainers, veterinarians, and behaviorists in developing their products.
Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee since its inception in 1991, PetSafe has over 400 employees who are allowed to bring their dogs to work daily. The company made its debut with the In-Ground Radio Fence system and is now home to SportDOG® brand and other brands like Premier® Pet Products, Drinkwell® Pet Fountains, and Innotek® training products.
As the largest manufacturer of electronic pet training products in the United States, Lickety Stik is a product that pet parents shake, twist, and serve for a treat and/or in the training process.
