The Women in the Pet Industry Association (WPIA) announced it will hold its first two-day gathering in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012. The two-day event is touted as a networking meeting and expo with seminars, panels, exhibitors, and networking. It will take place March 17 through March 18, 2012 at the Radisson Hotel Opryland hotel for both members and non-members of the WPIA.
Membership to the WPIA is open to all pet industry segments, including those who work in it, have a product for pets and want to network. With a combined 30 years of marketing experience, its founders intend to help their members get the word out to both media and public.
"We have a lot of members who are doing business with one another and this is a chance for them to meet in person and enhance their relationships. It's also a chance for our members to showcase their pet products and services to an audience that will want to buy them. There has never been a meeting just for women working in the pet industry so we think we'll have a great crowd attending," states Executive Director, Debby Lening.
With annual dues of $50.00, membership benefits in the WPIA include free news in the monthly newsletter, a free one-year digital subscription to Animal Wellness magazine, website presence with member and product spotlights, free listing on the WPIA website under the respective category, and discounts on advertising and marketing products as well as on association events. As of this writing, early bird registration for the 2012 conference is open.
