Paws4Claws Seeks Most Social Pet Lovers Posting Online About Their Pets
Paws4Claws.com, a “petcentric” online social community, has announced its search for the most social pet lover who posts on their Facebook page about their pet. The winner of the contest will receive a $350 value three-foot tall plush dog as a prize.
Paws4Claws.com donates 100 percent of its profits to fund rescues & shelters, helps abandoned and neglected animals, and support charities that help pet owning families stay together. They combine a social community with philanthropic efforts by selling an array of animal and wildlife-oriented gifts, apparel, jewelry, home furnishings, and fashion. With a goal of raising awareness for people and pets in need, the website dubs its members “PAWsters.”
The “Paws4Claws PetBooking Contest” started recently and runs through December 11, 2011, with no purchase necessary. Contestants wishing to enter must first build a pet profile on the site, sign up for the Paws4Claws newsletter and start “PetBooking” with other animal community members of the site on their Facebook page. Winner is then determined at the end of the contest by amount of activity during the aforementioned period of time.
A PetBooker and PetBooking are terms coined by the Paws4Claws husband and wife co-founders, Karen and Wayne Barnett. “PetBooking is the art of socializing with other pet lovers, sharing pet pictures, stories, meeting like-minded kindred spirits and spreading news about pets people want to nibble on”, said Paws4Claws, President, Wayne Barnett.
