Country Music Singer, Trace Adkins, Names Waggin' Trail Jingle Contest Winner
The Waggin’ Train Tail Waggin’ Jingle Contest sponsored by Waggin’ Train brand dog snacks came to a close recently, with country music star Trace Adkins selecting the grand prize winner. Dewey Longuski og Mason, Michigan, was selected as grand prize winner for writing and singing a jingle with lyrics describing how he could enjoy a “tail waggin’ good time” with his dogs.
“I own two dogs who remind me to enjoy the simple things in life and inspire me in so many ways, including my music. That’s why I’ve teamed up with Waggin’ Train for the Tail Waggin’ Jingle Contest to find other dog owners across America who have such great relationships with their dogs that they are inspired to write a song about it,” said Adkins.
Longuski performed the jingle live in front of Adkins at the Hard Rock Café in Nashville, Tennessee this week. In addition to the recording, he also won an autographed CD of the jingle and it will be featured on the Waggin’ Train brand’s website and Facebook page.
Judging criteria included 50 percent for jingle describing the good times enjoyed by the entrant and his or her dog, 25 percent musical performance reinforcing the Waggin’ Train brand’s wholesome and fun personality, and 25 percent for creativity and originality. Five finalists were present at the November 2011 private event where they also received tickets to attend the 45th Annual CMA Awards’ show.
Waggin’ Train is owned by Nestle Purina PetCare Company and is located in St. Louis, Missouri, where Ralston Purina was formed more than 100 years ago. For more information about the Waggin’ Train contest and to hear Longuski’s winning jingle, visit www.WagginTrainBrand.com.
