Paris Permenter is the co-founder of DogTipper.com and a network of pet sites with her husband, John Bigley. Long-time professional writers, Paris and John have authored over 2,500 published magazine articles and 28 published books as well as running several successful travel websites since 2000.
Prior to 2008, the couple specialized in travel writing but, with the adoption of two mixed breed dogs, Paris and John turned their focus to pets and launched DogTipper.com. The blog has grown into an expansive site featuring over 5,000 pages highlighting tips for dog lovers, dog news, product reviews, giveaways, dog-centric festivals, celebrity canines, and more.
Within the past year, DogTipper has been joined by CatTipper.com, its feline equivalent, and, most recently, by MyPetAllergies.com, focusing on tips and products for managing pet allergies. This year, Paris and John also authored the book Barkonomics: Tips for Frugal Fidos, featuring 300+ tips for saving money on your dog's care. Paris drew upon her academic background in Economics for the book.
A frequent television and radio guest, Paris has appeared as an expert guest on programs ranging from local news stations to the Fine Living television network. Paris has also spoken on the topic of blogging at BlogPaws, BarkWorld Expo, PRSA, and the Society of American Travel Writers conferences.
Paris and John live with their dogs, Irie and Tiki, and four cats, Felix, Linus, Inca, and Coco, in the Texas Hill Country near Austin.
