Ruff Wear, producer of high performance dog gear, announced their new line of winter products for dogs. The new wear includes the Omnijore Joring System, Quinzee insulated dog jacket, and Beacon™ safety light for low-lighting walks and activities. In addition, the company launched new colors and reworking of their rubber dog toys, the Sqwash™, SquareBall™, Gourdo™ and TurnUp™.
With the increased popularity combining cross-country skiing with skateboarding, the Ruff Wear Omnijore Joring System incorporates dog pulling activities such as skijoring, mountainboard-joring, skatejoring, bikejoring, or canicross. The system comes with a dog harness, human hipbelt and towline and retails for $149.95.
The Quinzee, Ruff Wear’s latest cold-weather jacket for canines, allows for weather-resistant warmth in between activities in extreme cold or inclement weather. Featuring synthetic insulation, the jacket features an integrated stuff sack, cold weather protection, and full range of motion. The Quinzee retails for $84.95. Designed to work in tandem with all Ruff Wear wearable dog gear, the Beacon is a dog-tested, watertight, lightweight light retailing for $16.95.
In the toy realm, the TurnUp™ is aptly named for its “bounces-in-any-direction” style and is ideal for athletic dogs of any size. Putting a new spin on the familiar “toss the ball” game, the beveled edges of the SquareBall™ allows its heavy weight to gain momentum as it travels. Unique in their design and intent, RuffWear also made improvements to their Sqwash and TurnUp™ toys.
Ruff Wear was named on Outside magazine’s list of Best Places to Work in 2010 and specializes in performance and outdoor-inspired products for dogs and their human guardians.
