Innovacyn Names Winners of the "Vetericyn Loves Animals" Charity Contest
Innovacyn recently announced the winners of its “Vetericyn Loves Animals” online charity contest. Winner in the equine/large animal division was Horse Plus Humane Society with Pet Helpers, Inc., being named small animal winner. As the prize, each of these groups will receive a one-year supply of Vetericyn products.
Formed with the purpose of providing providing premier health products to the equine and companion animal market,Vetericyn products touts their products as causing no harm to both animal nor environment. Vetericyn’s Facebook page encouraged fans of their page to vote on charities during the month of October, 2011. With thousands of votes cast for a host of charities, winners receive Vetericyn products, a year’s subscription to Cesar’s Way magazine, and a DVD sets from Clinton Anderson’s Downunder Horsemanship.
Horse Plus Humane Society is located near Oroville, California, and is dedicated to prevention of horse cruelty. Founded in 2004, the group typically has 20 to 40 horses available for adoption at any given time. Since its formation, Horse Plus Humane Society has rescued over 1,500 equines.
Pet Helpers, Inc., is based in Fairmont, West Virginia, and is a non-profit animal rescue support pet owners and animal caregivers. They also educate about the importance of spaying and neutering pets.
In a charitable gesture, Vetericyn offered to send products to all 79 nominated charities.
“Once we learned more about these organizations, it became immediately clear that every single one is doing amazing, critical work, which is why we decided to provide Vetericyn products to all of them,” said Rina Dakanay, social media specialist for Innovacyn. “We have been hugely inspired by these charities and the people behind them, and are honored to pitch in and help them keep the animals they serve healthy.”
