ProLabs was recently launched by AgriLabs, a marketing and sales company specializing in product introductions in all animal health species. As the largest distribution network in the United States, ProLabs is a division of AgriLabs focused on the introduction, marketing and over-the-counter sales of health care products for companion animals.
One of the items included in the launch included ProLabs Feline Tape Worm Tabs utilizing praziquantel, a common treatment for tapeworms. Tabs are available for both dogs and cats.
“With several recent exclusive companion animal development agreements in place and the very positive outcomes of a number of on-going research projects, we will provide pet owners with a line of unique, clinically proven health care products,” said Jim Glassford, vice president of marketing for AgriLabs.
Distributor shareholders own AgriLabs, and their combined sales are estimated at over $2 billion dollars in product sales, or 50 percent of the total animal health products sold in the United States. Elected shareholders of AgriLabs also serve on their Board of Directors and actively participate in policy making.
Their distribution network employs more than 500 outside sales representatives and over 600 inside sales staff. Their distribution encompasses 140 locations scattered throughout the United States. Species-specific targeting offers lines for many animal markets, including pharmaceuticals, biologicals, insecticides or accessories.
Established in 1984, AgriLabs was one of the first agri-marketing distributors to both apply for and be granted an Abbreviated New Animal Drug Application (ANADA) under the Generic Drug Law.
