Blue Water Media Designs Powerful New Website for Animal Welfare Institute
The Animal Welfare Institute (AWI) recently launched a new website, www.awionline.org. AWI is a Washington D.C.-based nonprofit animal protection organization.
Founded in 1951, AWI’s mission is to alleviate animal suffering inflicted by people. In today’s modern time, AWI focuses on animal factories that raise and slaughter pigs, cows, chickens and other animals. They also seek to stop the torture of furbearing animals by steel jaw leg-hold traps and wire snares.
The newly launched website was designed by D.C.-based design firm, Blue Water Media, and built with the content management system, Drupal. The site boasts a fresh layout, design, e-commerce feature, and customized donation sector. Blue Water Media believes the new site will enable AWI to fulfill its missions and reduce animal suffering more effectively.
Recent AWI efforts include helping domestic violence victims get pets to safety, helping with a petition to stop coyote trapping in one California city, and addressing ecological chaos.
Visitors to the new website may engage in “Act Now,” “Sign Up for eAlerts,” “Support AWI” and social media icons encourage users to take desired actions and engage meaningfully with the website. The Drupal content management system strengthens the organization’s mission as it enables AWI to update and add content to the website easily and independently of Blue Water Media.
The intuitive navigation and precisely organized content means users can find the information they want more effectively, quickly, and easily.
