Global Pet Expo Receives Trade Show Executive's 2010 Gold 100 Award for the Third Year in a Row
The American Pet Products Association’s (APPA) Senior Vice President, Andy Darmohraj, recently announced that Global Pet Expo was bestowed the honor of Trade Show Executive’s 4th Annual Gold 100 Award for the third year in a row.
Touted as the world’s largest pet products trade show held annually, the 2010 show featured 803 exhibitors covering 225,000 square feet, 4,495 pet product buyers and more than 3,000 new product launches. It is presented by both APPA and the Pet Industry Distributors Association. Each year, Global Pet Expo is host to leading retail chains, pet superstores and mass-market retailers, distributors, wholesalers and independent retailers worldwide.
“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award again honoring the largest and most successful shows nationwide,” said Darmohraj. “The 2010 Show truly surpassed expectations as we did not anticipate having growing numbers in this economy. It’s great to see our efforts in social media promotion, preparation, organization, floor layout and strategy recognized.”
Attendees of the 2010 show were privy to products including an item to teach fish to perform tricks, organic and eco-friendly products, and dog puzzles that foster learning and intelligence. Thousands of new products are launched each year at Global Pet Expo.
Rankings for the award were compiled by Trade Show Executive’s editorial team during data-gathering process that took place over one year’s time. The 2012 Global Pet Expo will be held from February 29 through March2, 2012 in Orlando, Florida, at the Orange County Convention Center.
APPA is the largest not-for-profit trade association catering to the needs of the pet products industry since 1958. Trade Show Executive magazine is a source of news, views and tools for both large and small trade shows.
