PetQR Set to Donate Percentage of October Sales to AHAES
PetQR, developer and manufacturer of pet identification tags utilizing smart phone technology, announced recently that it will donate 20 percent of all sales in October, 2011, to the American Human Association Emergency Services division.
The Emergency Services Division of the American Humane Association serves to help disaster-stricken areas and care for displaced pets. Some examples of disaster-stricken areas include the storms that hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Joplin, Missouri and left many pets without homes.
PetQR technology involves taking a photo of a PetQR pet identification tag and texting the photo to 43588. This allows the owner of a lost pet to be contacted rapidly. If the owner cannot be contacted, the profile page that is displayed when texting the 5 digit number will provide the user with the pet’s medical information, behavioral information, and other imperative information owners provide ahead of time.
Chief Executive Officer, Brian Harmon, says "anything we can do to assist the great work of the Emergency Services division of the American Human Association we will do. These storms really hit close to home for us. We feel a responsibility to do our part." PetQR will be donating 20% of all sales to assist the work of the Emergency Services division of the American Humane Association.
When pet parents purchase a PetQR tag during October of 2011, 20 percent of the sales being donated allows for the services of the American Humane Association to deter the costs of those heading into disaster-stricken areas to help pets in need.
PetQR pet identification tags have a cost of $9.99 per piece and shipping is included free. Visit their website by logging on to thepetqr.com
