Erika Lindquist has brought her passion for crafts and animals together by creating Sew DoggyStyle, a place where all things handmade are geared towards the pets she loves. “Blogging about my crafts - and my dogs of course - have opened a whole new window of opportunity for me.” Lindquist’s blog can be found
here.
Erika likes to call herself a well-rounded crafter. Growing up, her mother taught her to sew and her father taught her all about woodworking. Being creative gives Erika a sense of personal satisfaction and accomplishment. She loves to share her ideas and inspire others to do the same. Now with Sew DoggyStyle, She is able to use her inspiration from her adorable pets and take creating to a whole new level that all pet owners will enjoy.
Lindquist’s DIY crafts have been featured on DogTipper.com, YomoPets.com, CraftGossip.com, DollarStoreCrafts.com, DoggieStylish.com, FaveCrafts.com, and numerous blogs. Lindquist will be featured in the Modern Dog Magazine Winter Issue.
Lindquist is also currently working on a program for local shelters where volunteerswill make and donate "adopt me" vests for adoptable animals to walk around in at events. Many people are surprised to know that Sebastian (the star of her blog) is from the shelter. He was there for two weeks and did not look his best since he was underweight and filthy.
"I am a firm believer that all shelter animals make amazing family members if given the opportunity."
