The grand opening date is July 1 for the Hanrob Pet Hotel located at the Melbourne International Airport. The hotel boasts luxury suites for animal companions of jetsetters.
The suits include private courtyards, toys and televisons, as well as daily dog activities. Dogs get to have playtime with other four-legged guests, grooming gatherings, and training school. The hotel is not only for canines, but “cat condos” are available as well.
Owners and pets receive limousine service. Pets go to the Hanrob, while owners are taken to the airport. Pet caregivers are more comfortable with taking their pets along on big trips and many opt to reserve pet hotel rooms, rather than kennel alternatives.
The Hanrob Pet Hotel was a $2.9 million USD (AU$4 million) endeavor. It will be located at the airport's Tullamarine terminal. This is Australia’s second luxury Hanrob Hotel, the first opened in Sydney in 2005.
