New Dog Diet Book Helps Pet Owners Conquer Canine Obesity
"The Amazing Treat Diet for Dogs: How I Saved My Dog from Obesity", a brand-new dog diet book by Katie Newman, tells the story of how Newman improved her own dog's life and how other pet owners can learn from her struggle. The book offers key guidelines and principles for a nutritious and balanced pet diet.
The Association for Pet Obesity Prevention estimates that more than half of all U.S. dogs are overweight or obese and Newman's dog, Hustler, used to be no different. Unable to exercise because of joint issues, his weight had ballooned to 96 pounds, well past the healthy range for a dog of his size and breed. In her book, Newman shares how Hustler lost 27 pounds in four months without additional exercise and how other pet owners can do the same for their dogs.
The book includes principles for a healthy diet, guidelines for meal and treat servings and how to shape owner and pet habits into a process that is healthy, economical and easy.
"Everything changed the day I learned that Hustler had become dangerously overweight," says Newman. "I spent countless hours researching and formulating The Amazing Treat Diet for Dogs. I created the diet to save my dog and chose to share it because I know it will save other dogs, too."
Mixing heartfelt narrative with clear, straightforward instructions, the book is intended to educate and inspire. The book also includes extensive photography to enhance and simplify its comprehensive nutritional information.
