Inaugural Wonder Pet Expo Announced for Sept. 10-11

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Wonder Pet Expo announces the first annual Arizona show held on Sept. 10 and 11 at the Arizona State Fairgrounds. Pets are invited for a full schedule of fun with the family, shopping, adoptions and live entertainment.

Celebrity and animal advocate, Megan Blake, will be attending with her pet Super Smiley showing off their flash mobbing skills that landed the actress on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

All pups will be treated like royalty with free PAW-dicures, which will complement those who choose to enter the pet costume contest. The event will also feature the famous Sit Means Sit trained dogs that will show-off their agility and obedience skills. Dogs will be able to take a dip and get relief from the warm Phoenix sun with Splash Dogs. Splash Dogs promotes dock diving events nationwide. Top Dog and nationally renowned Pet Lifestyle Expert, Eileen Proctor, will be emceeing her fur filled “impawvisational” product and service Intromercials from the main stage.

Wonder Pet Expos, founder Kathy Hulin says of the event, “Wonder Pet Expos aim to educate through fun and interactive activities to help guide our children of the future and parents of present times, teaching them the importance of adopting, spay and neutering.”

There will be a Kids Zone featuring games, face painting and a moon bounce. For the brave of heart, Deb’s Dragons will be in attendance with the unforgettable “Fear Factor” and “Animal Carnival” shows.

Desert Dachshund Weiner Races will take off on the second day of the event, and guests are invited to sign up their Weiner dogs for the races. Proceeds of these races will purchase bullet proof vests for K9 police officers.  Blanco Farah, a dog that has gained a following on Facebook because he was adopted by Afghanistan troops and has a heartwarming story, will be at the expo with his military family on Saturday, Sept. 11.

Exhibitor booths include Camp Bow Wow, Tuffy’s Pet Food, The Blue Buffalo Co., The Humane Society and more. Innovative pet products for animals and humans alike will be for sale, as well as pet photography, educational materials, and treats. Wonder Pet Expo is sponsored by Hybrid-Turf, PetSmart, Banfield, Wonder Wetter, Petco and Toyota.

Admission for pets is free, although all donations are accepted and greatly appreciated. Donations must be new and unused and 100 percent will be donated to participating rescues and shelters. Wonder Pet Expo recently announced expansion to Texas. An expo will be held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Ft. Worth, on April 21 and 22, 2012.
