Pet Camp, a San Francisco overnight pet boarding facility and daycare center, has been named the 2011 Best of the Bay winner for "Best Kept Kitty Club" by the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
More than 15,000 San Francisco Bay Guardian readers took part in this year's Best of the Bay Readers Poll, which recognizes community favorites in more than 200 categories ranging from Best Burrito to Best Strip Club. This is the Bay Guardian's 37th annual celebration of the best people, places, and things in the Bay Area.
"We'd like to thank the San Francisco Bay Guardian for recognizing our work with cats," said Virginia Donohue of Pet Camp. "San Francisco's such a unique and vibrant city; our cats deserve special treatment too."
Pet Camp is among the mansions and boutiques of Presidio Heights. Its facilities include an indoor solarium garden, huge garden windows, aquariums and plenty of perches. Pet Camp also has twirling club lights for cats to chase. Pet Camp Cat Safari is located at 3233 Sacramento St. The Main Campground is located at 525 Phelps St. in San Francisco.
