SeaYu® Enterprises, makers of Clean+Green® natural pet stain and odor removers, announced that it will host the second annual Fragrance Free Day on Thursday, August 11th. The event, designed to raise awareness of the dangers of using chemical fragrances in cleaning, pet and personal care products, will feature a live Q&A Twitter chat from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM ET with a panel of experts.
“Chemical fragrances are completely unregulated by the government, even though they have been proven to cause respiratory diseases and skin conditions, exacerbate allergies, and they have even been linked to cancer,” said Quincy Yu, president of SeaYu Enterprises. “We designed Fragrance Free Day to give concerned consumers a chance to help spread awareness by pledging to go ‘fragrance free’ via their social networks– meaning no perfumes/colognes, scented lotions or harsh cleaning products with added fragrances – for one full day.”
The Twitter chat will feature Yu, organic chemist Dr. Stephen Ziman and Dr. Patrick Mahaney, veterinarian, certified veterinary acupuncturist and author of the upcoming book, The Uncomfortable Vet. People can submit their questions on the safety of personal care products through Twitter by using the hashtag #fragrancefreeday during the chat.
