Platinum Pooch, an upscale pet grooming salon in Verona, Pa. for dogs and cats, will host a Microchip Clinic Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in conjunction with the Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania.
Pets will be micro-chipped and registered on site, at 819 Allegheny River Blvd., for $25. A microchip implant usually is placed under the skin of an animal. Once animals receive the implant, they can be easily identified and matched with their owners.

The Platinum Pooch also offers numerous discounts such as Senor Discounts, Multi-Pet Discounts & Referral Programs. All proceeds from the Aug. 6 event will benefit Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania. For more information go to the salon web page.
