New Incentive for Pet Owners: A&P Announces Reward Program
The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. (A&P) launched a new Preferred Pet Club Program rewarding pet owners and their pets for shopping at the grocery store. A&P resides in New Jersey where it operates several grocery stores along the Northeast.
The rewards program relates to pet owners on multiple levels. When purchasing pet-related items at select stores, pet owners may receive exclusive discounts. Stores participating in this program include: A&P, Pathmark, Waldbaum’s, The Food Emporium or Superfresh. Along with that, by purchasing from The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. pet owners can essentially help give donations to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
As a club member, a $1 donation will be made to the ASPCA for every $100 spent on pet products.
“A&P is always looking for creative ways to help customers save on their day-to-day purchases,” said John Moritz, senior vice president of marketing at A&P. “Through this program, we are especially proud to support the meaningful work of the ASPCA, while giving pet owners even more reason to look at their neighborhood A&P, Pathmark, Waldbaum’s, The Food Emporium or Superfresh store as the go-to resource for their pet care needs.”
In addition, through December 31, customers may sign up for A&P’s Live Better Wellness Club that can help save pet owners 10 percent on all pet prescriptions.
