Fox news has an online segment highlighting trends called App Attack. Host Meg Baker shares two great pet apps, MyPetED and Fido Factor.
MyPetEd helps owners keep track of a pet’s health. This $1.99 app will can find a local veterinarian, store vet visit information, and log health records including vaccinations in the PetCareLog. Begin by creating a profile of an animal with a photo, its age, weight, medications, favorite toys, etc.
In case of an emergency, it can access contact information and reach a vet or another clinic in one touch, map and directions included. MyPetEd is driven by the community, so if a pet goes missing or a stray is found, report it right away to enlist the help of others in the area. It also features an adoption section.
Fido Factor is a user-generated app makes it possible to never leave home without a dog again. Use the Fido Factor app to locate animal-friendly parks, restaurants, stores, beaches, hotels, and more in a city.
Fido Factor gives an address as well as a map with directions to the pet-friendly location. Locations that pets are welcome that are not listed in the app can easily be added and shared. Keep track of the best places within the favorites tab, and even store pictures of a pooch at those prime locations within the app.
