The Royal Pets Market & Resort owner Denise Wolin-Gore has eye for detail and business. Wolin-Gore noticed that the average Carrollwood, Fla. Resident had two pets and decided it was perfectly suited for a specialty pet business.
The 7,000 square-foot facility is packed full of pet goods, a bakery, pet hotel and an indoor dog park. The park has self-flushing, synthetic turf specially treated with germicidal chemicals. The store will offer organic and holistic pet food, grooming services and a daycare. The staff is knowledgeable too. Wolin-gore and her husband have encouraged them to take certification courses.
“We offer the royal treatment and options that differentiate us from the pack…We want it to be a one-stop place for pets" says Wolin-Gore, adding that she is confident customer response will be strong.
Staff will be on site 24 hours, seven days a week at the pet hotel, which accommodates up to 100 cats and dogs. Owners can keep tabs on their furry friends in the dog park or hotel via internet pet cameras. Cats will be housed in soundproofed rooms ensuring any barking from their canine neighbors isn't audible. They can also view fish in bowls placed behind glass walls. While at the store, human visitors can sample coffee and use Wi-Fi.
"We want to encourage pet owners to bring their pets into the store and to stay awhile," said Wolin-Gore, who has two dogs she plans to bring to work daily.
A soft opening is scheduled for July 30. A grand opening is slated for Aug. 5–7. Events include a royal pet wedding, raffles for humans (including a TV and barbecue grill) giveaways and discount certificates for services.
