Nominations now open for NAPPS Business of the Year Award
The National Association of Pet Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) is a nonprofit organization that is focused on the needs of professional pet sitters and gives an annual award to business that exhibits product innovation, community involvement and serves as an example for others in the pet sitting industry.
“The NAPPS Business of the Year award is a prestigious award that allows us the opportunity to celebrate the best in the pet sitting industry,” explained John D’Ariano, NAPPS President. “It is our way of saying ‘well done’ to a business that has worked hard to provide the finest care to our furry friends.”
The winner will attend the 2012 NAPPS conference in Las Vegas free of charge, in addition to other support services mean to promote the winning business.
To apply, staff must complete an application and describe what distinguishes their business from otherswithin the industry. Applicants will be judged on a wide range of criteria, from mission and vision of the company and management philosophy to innovation in products or services and community involvement. The NAPPS Business of the Year Selection Committee, comprised of a wide range of industry professionals and leaders, will review all applications and determine the winner.
Both pet sitters and the pet-owning public are invited to nominate a deserving professional pet sitter. The deadline to apply is Sept. 1, 2011 for the conference held in January. The nomination form can be accessed through the NAPPS website, http://www.petsitters.org.
