PetSmart Charities Gives Grant to Fund Spay-Neuter Effort

The Bend Spay and Neuter Project in Central Oregon has received a $34,320 grant from PetSmart Charities to assist in the spaying and neutering of over 50 percent of the dogs living in the La Pine area.
The La Pine Doggie Roundup will offer dog spay or neuter surgeries for any dog living in La Pine for just $20. Participating veterinarians include the Bend Spay and Neuter Project, LaPaw Animal Hospital, Bend Veterinary Clinic and Mt. Bachelor Veterinary Hospital.
