Saturday, July 16, Pet Cottage will host a cat furniture sidewalk sale. During the sale there will be demos, give-aways, and kitten adoptions. Pet Cottage is known for their affordable and natural products that assist in helping pets achieve a healthy life and meet their highest standard of living.
Aside from hosting this event, Pet Cottage has been adopting large amounts of pets for the past four years. The group called, “Kittens and Kattens and Little Dogs Too,” owned by Sandie McCall, has handled in the range of 300 adoptions in the past four years.
Pet Cottage uses a holistic approach consisting of organic products and also raw food. Premium foods made in the USA and also food for smaller animals, wild and caged birds can be found in the store. Although, their research extends past pet nutrition as they have also done research on the best way for walking dogs. McCall has discovered that a harness may in fact be better for a dog than collars, and also adds that she does not feel sedatives are a right method for calming a pet down, as it may actually boost their fears.
“There isn’t a better job in the world," said McCall. "I get to help animals all day long.”
Most recently,McCall received word from a fellow pet owner she had helped, thanking her for suggesting a change in diet. Three weeks after the pet owner’s cat had been evaluated to be put down, the cat was completely healthy.
