Marc Morrone is an expert on all things pet and has guest starred on many television shows, writes a weekly syndicated news column in a major New York paper, and has authored five books with subjects on all types of pets. Morrone’s books are: Ask the Dogkeeper, Ask the Catkeeper, Ask the Birdkeeper and Ask the Fishkeeper, all published by Bowtie Press. In 1978, Morrone and business partner Nick Guerra opened Parrots of the World, a pet shop specializing in birds, ferrets, and other unusual pets. The success of the shop brought wider recognition of Marc's talent for helping pet owners learn to care for the animals they love. In 1997, Martha Stewart invited Marc and his pets to make a guest appearance on her television show, and he's been a regular guest on "The Martha Stewart Show" ever since, usually with his scarlet macaw, Harry, perched on his shoulder and many other members of his menagerie tagging along. Morrone also hosts “Petkeeping with Marc Morrone” on the Hallmark Channel.
Morrone lives in Oceanside with his wife and son and a houseful of pets. Morrone is a life-long lover of animals and has expansive knowledge on keeping them safe and ensuring their owners understand how to keep up a happy home.
