As part of their monthly Community Pet Lecture Series, the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson, located in Arizona, will host a free lecture on keeping pets safe from desert dangers on June 29th. The lecture will take place in the VSCT auditorium from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The lecture will be led by two emergency and critical care veterinarians from VSCT, Dr. Heather E. Connally and Dr. Dimitri Brown, who will comment on how heatstroke, rattlesnake bites - and even toad poisoning -- can affect pets.
The owner of VSCT points out that there are numerous dangers that pets living in desert states face, especially in the summer months, so pet owners must be knowledgable about the precautions that should be taken and potential dangers that should be avoided to ensure their pet's safety.
