Tagg GPS Tracking System for Pets To Launch New Feature
Snaptracs, Inc., the company that developed Tagg – The Pet Tracker, which is a pet GPS Tracking System, announced a new activity tracking feature will be launched in October at no additional cost to Tagg users.
The device’s existing location tracking capabilities will be enhanced by a feature enabling owners to track their pet’s daily activities. Movement is detected by Tagg Tracker and points will be assigned based on duration and intensity of the activity. These movements include resting to being highly active. As the “Tagg Points” are accumulated, they will be charted each day and provide pet owners with data. As a result, Snaptracs hopes pet parents will be able to determine their pets’ exercise habits and routines and any areas of improvement needed.
Dave Vigil, president of Snaptracs Inc., shared, “We all want our pets to live forever, to stay protected, and be safe and healthy. Tagg's combination of activity monitoring and GPS location tracking puts pet parents in control of their pets' well-being."
Tagg – The Pet Tracker was launched in September 2011 and has been given multiple awards. It is sold nationwide in retail stores and available for $99.95 in four colors. For pet parents who wish to locate their pet and monitor their activity via smartphone, there are free iPhone and Android apps available.
With the new feature, pet parents can access multiple interactive activity charts for each pet wearing a Tagg tracker. These activity charts will include a daily profile that details pet activity levels and Tagg Points for each 10-minute period of time. In addition, historical charts and Tagg Activity Goal totals will be available weekly, monthly, and with a 90-day timeline.
