Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy Patch Available for Animals
The Atlantic Veterinarian Alliance located in Nova Scotia, Canada, has selected HealFast Therapy for use by its alliance of 167 veterinary practices and animal hospitals.
BioElectronics Corporation, the maker of disposable, inexpensive drug-free topical pain and healing devices, made the announcement. The HealFast Therapy patches are designed for animals and deliver PEMF, or pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, through a miniaturized, wearable patch.
Dr. Lesley Steele, D.V.M., shared, “We are pleased that we will be able to introduce HealFast Therapy's unique drug-free pain relief patch to our patients. There is already considerable excitement about this product among our veterinary community."
While in office, veterinarians are able to place the patches on the injury and the product will continue to deliver treatment while their animal patients are at home, traveling, or resting.
The AVA was founded by Dr. Steele as an affiliate veterinarian buyers group in the Atlantic region. It has since grown to include the Canadian Central and Western Vet Alliances. Preferential pricing is given to alliance members per the HealFast Therapy agreement.
BioElectronics Corporation also makes PEMF patches for humans with the ActiPatch Therapy that Health Canada has approved for relief of pain in musculoskeletal complaints. They also make RecoveryRx products that have been approved by Health Canada for surgical recovery and chronic wounds.
The wearable patch for animals, HealFast Therapy, has an embedded microchip in it and it delivers continuous therapy for dogs, cats, and horses. HealFast Therapy is distributed by eMarkets Group, LLC, North Caldwell, NJ. The HealFast line of patches is distributed by eMarkets Group, LLC.
