Operation Kindness opens a new Center in the Lone Star State

Operation Kindness is a non-profit organization that serves the north Texas area placing animals in responsible homes while creating no-kill environments in the interim.
One of the oldest shelters in Texas will be renovated to feature a 2,000 square foot dog kennel. The addition was made possible by a $250,000 donation from Dallas residents Jack and Norma Carney. The Carney’s adopted their dog “Bear” from Operation Kindness in 2004 and are naming the kennel after him. Bear’s Den will double the shelter’s capacity for large dogs, include 30 dog runs, will be air-conditioned, reduce noise and prevent disease through innovative design. The Carney’s and Bear will be at the groundbreaking event that will be held at 10 a.m. July 12.
"We are thrilled to have this opportunity to provide a second chance for even more homeless dogs in our community," said Sherwin Daryani, Operation Kindness Executive Director. "The additional building will allow us to provide shelter for approximately 90 more dogs at any time, ultimately saving thousands of lives."
