Hartz company has announced a “Back to School” photo contest aimed at supporting the health and well-being of classroom pets across the country.
Hartz will be encouraging teachers, parents, and children to post images of their classroom’s pets on the Hartz Facebook page including a story of how the animals play a role in the educational environment. According to Hartz, the classroom, is one of the best ways for teachers to educate kids about responsibility and compassion. In a release, Hartz revealed that many studies have shown that classroom pets tend to decrease tension in the classroom and give children a common goal to work toward.
Once the photo and story have been submitted, all entries will be automatically entered into the contest. The grand prize is a package containing a $250 American Express gift card and a Hartz® gift basket of pet product goodies for the classroom pet or to put toward the adoption of one. Four runner-ups will also win a $150 American Express gift card and a gift basket.
