BioLargo, Inc., will be launching their new product, Odor No More, at the SuperZoo 2012 tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada, this month, through a partnership with Central Garden & Pet.
The company’s Odor-No-More, was awarded two Editor’s Choice Awards, including Product of the Year by Horse Journal. They also won the Best New Product Award at SuperZoo. Odor-No-More, Inc., is a BioLargo wholly owned subsidiary.
At the present time, most cat litter products use materials like clay, enzymes, and/or perfumes. Odor No More contains a litter additive that is touted as eliminating odors and absorbing more than the leading competitors by 20-to-1, according to the company.
BioLargo’s agreement with Central Garden & Pet calls for the purchase of at least 1.25 million pounds of the product by March of 2013. In the two year period of time following, they must purchase at least 2 million and 2.75 million pounds of the product, respectively, so that they may retain exclusive rights.
Central Garden has reported revenues of $1.6 billion in fiscal in the year 2011, with products at major pet stores and big box retailers. BioLargo is presently trading with a market capitalization of $16.5 million and cash expenditures averaging around $2 million per year.
Earlier this year, it was reported that BioLargo hired a new senior strategy advisor, Tanya Rhodes. Rhodes has a Masters Degree in Technology Management from the University of Miami and graduated with honors in Chemistry from Hull University, England. She completed full research for PhD in Molecular Orbital Computational Stereochemistry before coming to the United States.
