Superzoo Will Host Cardinal Crystal Grooming Achievement Awards
Superzoo, the annual pet retailer show held recently at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, will host the 24th Annual Cardinal Crystal Grooming Achievement Awards at this year's trade show.
The awards presentation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 5:30 p.m. at SuperZoo's Groomer SuperShow at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
The grooming awards are dubbed the Cardinal Crystal Grooming Achievement Awards and were founded in 1988 by Cardinal President Tony de Vos and Shirlee Kalstone, then owner of the International Intergroom Trade Show. The purpose of the awards is to establish grooming standards and recognize professional skills in the competitive grooming industry.
Cardinal is a company dedicated to pets and the environment, with solar-powered corporate offices, warehouses and manufacturing facilities in Azusa, California. The company directive is reduce, reuse, recycle, and pre-cycle wherever possible.
In 2011, for the second time, Clayton Muniz of Brazil was bestowed the honor of International Groomer of the Year.
To be eligible to vote in the ceremony, one must be a member of the Cardinal Crystal Grooming Achievement Awards Academy. Membership is open to all professional and competitive groomers along with groomers and bathers who work in a grooming shop. Previous Crystal Award Winners are automatically members of the Crystal Academy.
Tickets to the awards presentation are free, and guests will be provided complimentary drinks and appetizers.
The World Pet Association produces and manages Superzoo, which runs from 10 am to 5 pm on Tuesday, September 11; 10 am to 5 pm on Wednesday, September 12; and 10 am to 3 pm on Thursday, September 13.
