The company, brite-View, recently introduced the “iCam123,” a home monitoring system accessible through a smartphone.
Setup is a three-step process and there is no need for network setting on a computer. Once the starter kit is in place, the home monitoring system is accessible. One of the target audiences is the pet parent who leaves for work but wants to check their pets while they are away.
One user was reported as saying, “"It took me less than 3 minutes to set up iCam123. Now I can see my puppy on my iPhone from the office anytime when I miss her."
The technology is Plug-and-Play and is considered to be more secure than WiFi, according to the company. The brite-View brand is owned by Zinnet, Inc., headquartered in Campbell, California. Zinnet is a designer and manufacturer of consumer electronic including power line networking and wireless HD transmission solutions.
The “iCam123” starter kit is priced pointed at a promotional cost of $99.99, with the option to expand on a home monitoring system by purchasing up to seven IP cameras at a cost of $79.99.
The iCam123 complies with HomePlug AV 1.1 technology and connects 500 Mbps Powerline Network Adapter, which is included, to the network router and PlugCam to any power outlet. The P2P video transmission protects privacy and no PC software installation is required.
