BioLargo, a company that holds five issued United States patents and is on record with more than 20 additional patent applications at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office relating to additional uses of chemistry, has announced Tanya Rhodes to the position of Senior Strategy Advisor with the BioLargo management team.
According to the company’s website, BioLargo’s goal is to improve the quality of life for people worldwide. One of their products, Odor-No-More, was awarded two Editor’s Choice Awards, including Product of the Year by Horse Journal. They also won the Best New Product Award at SuperZoo. Odor-No-More, Inc. is a BioLargo wholly owned subsidiary.
In her new role, Rhodes will work with the medical subsidiary to commercialize the technology in the wound management and medical device markets. "I believe that the BioLargo technology presents a unique and cost-effective solution for a number of big problems facing the industry," Rhoades reported. "I look forward to working closely with the BioLargo team to help serve this important industry."
Rhodes has a Masters Degree in Technology Management from the University of Miami and graduated with honors in Chemistry from Hull University, England. She completed full research for PhD in Molecular Orbital Computational Stereochemistry before coming to the United States.
BioLargo owns a 50 percent interest in the Isan System, which is commercialized in Australia and honored with a Top 50 Water Company for the 21st Century award by the Artemis Project. The company signed an exclusive licensing agreement in early 2001 for usage of pet products with Central Garden and Pet.
