John Paul Pet Forms Partnership With Lone Star Pet Supply
The John Paul Pet pet care company recently revealed a partnership has been formed with Lone Star Pet Supply, a distribution company based in Texas that has been servicing the southern region of the United States since 1952.
The relationship merges what are considered to be two giants in the pet care product industry, with the John Paul Pet product line now available to previously unreached consumers.
In 1965, the Billimek family acquired Lone Star Pet, which was originally operated by two families. The company became one of the first distributors in the United States to distribute premium dog and cat food, Hill’s Science Diet. Dennis Stahl, Mr. Billimek’s nephew, took over the business in 1986 and grew it to one of the most successful distributors in the region. Expanded distribution areas over the years have included customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
John Paul DeJoria is the founder of Paul Mitchell Systems, who 30 years ago banned animal testing for his line of hair products, thus revolutionizing the salon industry. John Paul Pet shampoos and conditioners are ph balanced and is tested on humans first, never pets. John Paul Pet support programs such as Best Friends Animal Society, The Morris Animal Foundation, PAWS, The California Wildlife Association, and the Humane Society of the United States.
Wholesale access to pet products is the focus of Lone Star Pet, and together in this partnership with John Paul Pet they hope to grow the line of products provided to their customers.
