Hairy Putter is a Cairn Terrier that lives on the Mendocino Coast in northern California and the voice of the Hairy’s Blog. The official Director of Barketing for Mendocino Country, Inc., Hairy writes first-paw accounts and reviews of his experiences at pet-friendly establishments and locations. Each of his reviews is based on the establishment’s ability and effort to “cause lots of tail wagging satisfaction and ability to fulfill a canine’s desires.”
Hairy’s beginnings were in Salt Lake City, Utah. He made appearances at a variety of charity benefits and was a runway model, raising awareness and money for animal causes and facilities. He made several appearances on a variety of television shows and has appeared in both print advertising and videos for Mendocino Country, Little River Inn, The Skunk Train, Toulouse and Lula wineries.
In 2009, Hairy was declared the official Canine Ambassador of Mendocino County and in September of 2011, he was promoted to Director of Barketing. In this role, Hairy promotes the many activities of Mendocino County that pets can do with their “uprights” (aka humans), including: canoeing, wine and beer tasting, dining, shopping, viewing art, adventures on a Skunk Train, and more.
Hairy and his paw-rents recently attended the BlogPaws 2012 Conference in Salt Lake City, where Hairy mingled with other pets, companies, fellow bloggers, and let folks know how pet-friendly Mendocino County truly is.
Some of his favorite things to do are running on the beach, playing in the ocean, chasing pesky squirrels and socializing with other friendly canine friends. His favorite television shows are the re-runs of Wishbone on PBS and the Westminster Dog show. He is a Capricorn.
