DogTime Media, a small pet-focused vertical group with a massive online presence, announced the final nominees for “The Petties” pet blog awards. Winners will be announced during BlogPaws 2011 which is a conference held in the DC area specifically designed for pet bloggers.  

"Congratulations to this year's nominees!" said DogTime Media CEO, Trevor Wright. "It is very exciting to see so many new bloggers nominated this year, and to also see some of last year's winners back in the running to win again this year."

Voting for the finalists will close July 29. Winners receive $1000 donation to the charity or shelter of their choosing in addition to a DogTime partnership that will build traffic to their blog.

"The response from the pet blogging community has been overwhelming this year, with nearly three times as many nominations as last year," said Wright. "The pet community has some very passionate, entertaining, and influential personalities, and this is the opportunity for the best of the best to be recognized by their followers."

There are eight categories this year including Best Overall Pet Blog and the four nominees for that category are: Pet News and Views, Pawsome, Fido Friendly and The Conscious Cat. To view all the nominees and vote please visit, http://dogtime.com/petties.
