Pet lifestyle expert, author, humanitarian and television personality, Wendy Diamond (Animal Fair), is looking for a groom for her dog bride. Diamond plans to break the Guinness World Record for the most expensive pet wedding in history on July 12, 2012, in New York City.
Diamond recently fostered a senior dog, a Coton de Tulear, after her beloved dog, Lucky, passed away. Lucky was slated to be wed on July 12. With her passing, Diamond’s rescue dog, Baby Hope, will be the bride. The groom will join Baby Hope and Wendy in carrying on Lucky’s legacy in promoting animal rescue and welfare. As one of their causes, the doggie couple will add animal cancer to their list.
The search for a groom to wed Baby Hope is still on, and interested parties can connect by signing up their own animal or contact their local shelter to submit an animal who needs a home.
The wedding will be held at the Jumeirah Essex House on Central Park South in New York City. Reception catering will be from Chef Nate, along with sushi chef James Chung, and Darryl (DR Mixologist) Robinson, “the ultimate cocktail specialist”, will serve drinks.
Wedding flowers are being provided by Floralia Decorators, whose clients include Kathy Hilton, Sony Music, USA Films, and former President Bill Clinton. A 7-piece orchestra, The Hank Lane Orchestra, will entertain guests, and jazz musician Dominick Farinacci will perform a well. In conjunction with Rose Katz at Gourmet Advisory Services and Fancy That, ceremony program and invitations were completed.
The wedding gown is designed by brother and sister duo Henry and Michelle Roth, whose work has appeared in Vogue, Cosmo Bride Online, and on The Today Show and 60 Minutes.
