Telstra Business Awards Names The Pets Hotel as 2012 Finalist
Pets in Australia can indulge in the luxury of an indoor pet hotel that was recently named a 2012 Finalist in the Telstra Business Awards.
The Pets Hotel owners have over 35 years of experience in the pet industry and report that the business opened over 18 months ago. The Pets Hotel is licensed to accommodate over 400 pets and is a joint venture with business partners.
Yvonne Hill, Managing Director, stated, “Pet boarding facilities in Melbourne are mostly located in the outer suburbs, so this is the first time inner-city Melburnians have had access to pet boarding on their door-step. The Pets Hotel is just minutes from the CBD in Port Melbourne, offering easy access to both the West Gate Freeway and Citylink.”
The Telstra Business Awards has been recognizing Australian businesses since 1992. Businesses that enter the Telstra Australian Business Awards receive a 70-page report evaluating their business performance against independent benchmarking of core business indicator, according to Telstra.
Some of the key elements of The Pets Hotel include cage-free environment for pets, a $4 million dollar state-of-the-art facility, webcams for 24/7 access to view pets, hospital grade climate control, butler service for home pick-up and delivery of pets, and a “Central Bark” indoor play area for dogs.
Luxury suites are furnished with flat screen televisions. Each suite is equipped with glass doors and separation materials so pets are not stressed or dealing with excessive noise. The Pets Hotel is family owned with dog boarding starting at $40 per day and cat boarding starting at $19 per day.
