Christina Sutu is the social media manager for her multi-practice veterinary facility in Walnut Creek, California and most recently, creating and building a social media plan for their sister hospital in Antioch, California, East Bay Veterinary Emergency. This includes creating and managing their company websites (encinavet.com and ebvse.com), Facebook pages (here, here and here), Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/encinavet) and blog (http://www.encinavet.com/blog) while conquering day to day tasks in the administration department.
Christina has always had a passion and love for animals but never found a way to incorporate her passion into her career without going into the veterinary medical field, but thanks to social media and blogging that has changed. Blogging on topics from pet health, hazards, pet tips and tricks and case studies that come through the doors at Encina Veterinary Hospital, Christina makes sure her blog is diverse and interesting for pet owners to enjoy and learn from.
“Although my blog is written for our clients and pet owners, I can’t help but think of it as my baby. It’s a great outlet for me to reach out to pet owners and give them accurate pet health information they can count on from a veterinary hospital. I want pet owners to turn to my blog as a source of accurate information they can trust and count on for their pet’s health. “
With experience from her personal use of social media, she was able to apply what she had learned to her veterinary hospital’s social media plan and continues to successfully watch it grow in more ways than one. A strong presence on Facebook, Twitter and Blogging, Encina Veterinary Hospital is at the top of its social media game when it comes to veterinary hospitals.
Christina has put together several presentations for veterinary professionals and most recently was chosen to be a speaker at 2012 Blogpaws conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. In June, look out for her first published article in Webster Veterinary University’s monthly magazine, spotlighting incorporating blogging into a veterinary hospital’s social media and internet marketing plan.
