Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Scooby-Doo Partner with Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan for Second Annual National Family Pack Walk
Warner Bros. Consumer Products has teamed up with Scooby-Doo and animal behaviorist/television star, Cesar Millan, for the Second Annual National Family Pack Walk on September 29 in Washington, D.C.
The event began as a regional event in Los Angeles in the fall of 2011 but has now expanded to a series of local pack walks nationwide. The events will take place across the country between September 24 and September 30 and will be led by the North Shore Animal League America national shelter partners and Mutt-i-grees Curriculum Schools.
The goal of the walks is to unite families from all walks of life in support of causes supported by the Cesar Millan Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to animal welfare and supports rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of abused and abandoned dogs.
The series of community pack walks in addition to the National Family Pack Walk, which takes place in Washington D.C., are known as the One Million Paw March.
Millan said, “The Pack Walk is a movement towards reconnecting ourselves with our dogs and our community. By stepping up as a pack leader, it's more than just walking a dog.”
As part of a four-year alliance formed between Millan and Scooby-Doo, the National Pack Walk and regional Pack Walks are made possible with the support of the Cesar Millan Foundation, the Mutt-i-grees Curriculum, and the North Shore Animal League.
The North Shore Animal League is the primary shelter support arm of the Cesar Millan Foundation and touted as the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. Over one million animals have been saved since the inception of the league and they continue to rescue, nurture, and adopt out 20,000 pets yearly into new homes.
Proceeds from the National Family Pack Walk events are donated to the Millan Foundation.
